The article starts out pretty clearly, but the end starts rambling and isn't wikified. A comparison of Jainism and Sikhism should really be more than just Jains do this, Sikhs do that (otherwise it's just comparing apples and oranges. More helpful would be to focusing on how they are each distinct in areas where a cursory understanding or an examination of foundations would make them appear similar. Wish I knew enough about either to do it. aww 19:30, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Questionable Line Should Be Removed?
[edit]Under the subheading "Concepts of a Godhead", the author writes something like, "Sikhism does not have meaningless symbols and rituals." While I am not a Jainism Scholar, it does appear to me that, given the comparative nature of the exposition, the author makes a implicit (and ungrounded?) attack on the place of symbols and rituals in the tradition of Jainism. Perhaps this remark should be removed in order to preserve any objective work done on this page.

In th introduction, author says that Jainism reject authority of Vedas but not the values. The 2nd part of assumption is not correct. As per my knowledge, Jainism does not accept Vedas teaching in any form. If anyone thinks otherwiese, please provide a reliable source reference. Till then I have remove the "but" part. - Ashish13012009 09 Feb 2010
