Orphaned references in Jai Singh II
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Jai Singh II's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "a":
- From Sawai (title): Indian States: A Biographical, Historical, and Administrative Survey By Somerset Playne, R. V. Solomon, J. W. Bond, Arnold Wright. 1922. p. 175.
- From Ram Charan (guru): Preface, Lakshya Ram Ji Maharaj, "Ram Rahasya Darshan" https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3bUXrI1MZN1ZjI0WHhnX2s4T3M/edit?usp=sharing
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 12:23, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Jai Singh II → Sawai Jai Singh – Sawai Jai Singh is WP:COMMONNAME. Google ngrams link[1] Shanusar (talk) 16:54, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). DanCherek (talk) 23:01, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- Proposal doesn't match the general format for these individuals at Category:Maharajas of Jaipur so needs a general discussion I woudl think. — Amakuru (talk) 16:30, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- Sawai Jai Singh is WP:COMMONNAME as it can be seen here [2] The wikipedia format for Category:Maharajas of Jaipur is based on current name of pages. It will also clear confusion with Mirza Jai Singh (I) and Sawai Jai Singh (II). Shanusar (talk) 10:32, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
- Support move, Sawai Jai Singh is common name as shown and it also help distinguishing him from Mirza Raja Jai Singh i.e. Jai Singh I. Hardly any historical works use name Jai Singh I and Jai Singh II, also Jai Singh I should also be moved to Mirza Raja Jai Singh. Sajaypal007 (talk) 15:02, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- Support for the move, Indeed Sawai Jai Singh is much more recognizable. Shanusar; If you can, be bold and do it yourself!. Packer&Tracker «Talk» 04:14, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- DanCherek Please close the discussion and move the page as per the discussion. Shanusar (talk) 13:33, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
