Notes
[edit]- The reason that I have included the article Jaguar XFR in my article is because of the information on the brand new AJ-V8 engine.
- Automobile Magazine does not have an article on the XE, but was included because of additional information about the AJ-V8.
- The Jaguar XE is a concept vehicle and will not be placed into general production before 2012. Thus some of the information in this article such as prices are just generalizations and will be changed as updates to the XE are made and introduced to the public.

Should this article not be in Brit Eng?
[edit]I thought it was standard proceduce to write articles about cars in the form of English that fitted where they came from? Also this article isn't written like a normal car article and probably needs a complete rewrite.(Morcus (talk) 04:25, 14 July 2011 (UTC))
- I have taken the opportunity to rewrite the article based on more recent references, and removed all unreferenced speculation as per Wikipedia norms. Hopefully with a Paris Motor Show 2012 concept car (C-XE anyone?) there will be an opportunity to expand the article again. Warren (talk) 14:33, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
- So it is announced that it will be the C-X16 (as a concept car anyway), and will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.--Warren (talk) 09:43, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
Move request
[edit]Jaguar XE → Jaguar F-Type – Jaguar XE was a speculative name, and has now been confirmed as F-Type by the manufacturer. Relisted. Jenks24 (talk) 10:07, 12 July 2012 (UTC) Warren (talk) 22:56, 4 July 2012 (UTC)

C-X16 concept (2000)
[edit]This concept had the project code X600 and is in keeping with many other project codes for Jaguar Cars
[ X100 - XK, X200 - S-Type, X300 - XJ, X400 - X-Type ].
It would seem that the "C-X16 concept (2000)" is a retrospectively given title that was never used at the time.

- No, the X600 is a different car which has never made a public appearance. U1 quattro TALK 16:27, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

True sports car
[edit]This car WAS in fact designed to be a true sports car since its inception. While not as performance oriented as more track focused vehicles like the 911 GT3, the F-type's handling dynamics certainly warrant its classification as a sports car, as opposed to a true GT. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oknevermind (talk • contribs) 21:24, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
