This author's books have won a number of awards, which have been awarded or reported by such third-party operations as the Canadian Children's Book Centre, the SPCA, and Scholastic (which is one of the world's largest publishers), and are properly cited in the article. I don't believe any of its content is contentious, and I say that as the creator of the author's personal website jacquelinepearce.ca.
