Citations
[edit]Citations from independent reliable sources are required for the article. They currently seem to be to galleries that sell or exhibit de la Serna's work, or from a blog article. If de la Serna has had all of the significant coverage listed in the books and magazines section he would certainly meet Wikipedia's notability criteria, but these sources need incorporating into the article. Currently the grand claims and quotes are unsourced. Sionk (talk) 11:33, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- Have added a dozen more citations to all sorts including museums, galleries, prizes, magazines. No doubt a lot more could be done but I really don't think notability is in the slightest doubt now. Below is a chunk that I can't find citations for, maybe the artist can help us out. Chiswick Chap (talk) 17:41, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- Excellent job!! It's looking much better. Sionk (talk) 20:43, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Uncited bits from article

" This was only the second time that a ceramic artist had been recognized for creating pieces that transcend the craft art genre and are recognized as sculpture.[citation needed] The first artist to have their work exhibited at this level by Grounds For Sculpture was the late ceramic master and "Father of the American Clay Revolution", Peter Voulkos.[1][failed verification] He is considered by many museum professionals and private collectors to be one of the most important contemporary ceramic artists of our time.[citation needed]"
"de la Serna has lectured and guest curated exhibits at Artistic and Academic Institutions including Gonzaga University, The Museum of Northwest Arts and Culture, Spokane, WA; The International Ceramics Symposium at the Museum of international Folk Art, Santa Fe, NM; The University of Miami, FL and Lesley College, Boston MA."

There are some updates to be made but I will cover that in another email after the image issue has been addressed.
Thank you for your time.
