Jacob Lusk is currently being managed by Gladys Knight's entourage. He has been working on an album for some time. He is signed to an independent record label. The redirect is temporary, and once his album is released, he should be un-redirected. One recent event is that he defended American Idol against allegations that the show is racist. On a side note, I was not involved in the AfD discussion due to a computer crash and lack of Internet access at the time. Decimus Tedius Regio Zanarukando (talk) 01:02, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Any more news on the album? I also was not a part of the AfD discussion and believe that it was a mistake to turn this article into a redirect in the first place. It met WP:GNG's significant coverage requirement and despite the note at WP:MUSICBIO about there being an exception for reality show contestants, it seems entirely arbitrary to single Lusk out, when most other AI contestants have their own articles regardless of whether or not they have established a career for themselves. Besides, the note only says that reality show contestants may be redirected to an article about the series; it sounds like more of a suggestion than a rule. American Idol is one of the most widely viewed shows on television and even as a redirect, this article has been getting between 1000 and 2000 views monthly. With or without an album, Lusk certainly has enough notability for this article to serve a purpose. --Jpcase (talk) 19:58, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
