Confusion Jackson Avenue (now MLK) vs. Jackson Lane (now portion of Winfield)
[edit]This article and the neighborhood redevelopment association that it references unfortunately reinforces a confusion between the former Jackson Avenue (now Martin Luther King Drive) and a historic street once called Jackson Lane. Research by the staff of the JC Public Library's New Jersey Room has concluded that Jackson Avenue was named for one Jeremiah Jackson, NOT the Jackson brothers who were freed slaves. I will try to get some clarifying language and a proper citation into the article. People come up with these business improvement districts with good intentions but not always the best historical research... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jwbkmn (talk • contribs) 17:51, 25 September 2014 (UTC)
