[edit]Question by User:58.104.73.136 moved from article page.
- Does anyone know why she is called "Jackie O"? Is it because she is an admirer of Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis?
- I think it's simply a cultural reference to Mrs Kennedy Onassis, easy to remember. Naysie 02:18, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
i think its cos when she first started on air she was actually Jackie O'Neill... her ex-husband. She is now Jackie Henderson (married to Lee henderson) so i guess the name just stuck. [[User:BananaGirl|Bananagirl}}~~ -- Dalbury(Talk) 13:51, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
Actually on an episode of Good Morning Australia, Bert Newton ask her and she said that her last name was "last" and she got the name 'O' from somewhere she used to work, I think from a co-host203.88.224.98 13:55, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
Someone really should put something in about the Frenzal Rhomb business. It's both relevant and hilarious. 203.206.251.91 04:07, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- well, someone has. Glad wiki can be a source of hilarity for you ;) Naysie 02:18, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- well if you get there 9 hours late its your own fault. (PAuLw1985 15:04, 3 April 2007 (UTC))
media scrutiny
[edit]Jackie O has been under much scrutiny throughout her career due to her portrayal as a 'bimbo' on her radio talk show. In 2012 she was also subject of much public attention after claims she was a bad mother to then 3 month old Kitty after feeding her whilst crossing a road.
Jewelry Collection
[edit]This read a lot like an advert with superfluous and misspelled adjectives a-plenty. The fact that she sells jewelry is notable and hence deserving of listing, the dedicated section with the unsolicited declaration of quality was not.MartinSFSA (talk) 04:40, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
What about Thorpey's "Angels"?

Big Brother
[edit]As little as we may think of the whole debacle (very, very little in my case), some evidence that Gretel was pushed would be germane. In other news, I can scarcely believe it's come to this.MartinSFSA (talk) 10:11, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Jackie O (radio host)
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Jackie O (radio host)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 02:01, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

Jackie O (radio host) → Jackie O – All of the incoming links to this title are for the DJ, not the First Lady. Unreal7 (talk) 20:31, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. I don't see any evidence that the radio host is the primary topic for Jackie O. Just because the incoming links to Jackie O all refer to the radio host does not mean someone entering Jackie O as search criteria is more likely to be looking for the host rather than the first lady, much less far more likely... --В²C ☎ 00:24, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC the first lady has significantly more page views than the radio host, and greater long term significance in history going forward. Additionally, there are other Jackie O links at the disambiguation article, so if it were to be redirected anywhere else it should be there. The fact incoming links are for the radio host is reason to correct the destination of those links to this article, not change other editor's mistakes -- Whats new?(talk) 01:44, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. Camelot. Except with an O. (and Jackie O already redirects to Jackie Kennedy Onassis, per common nickname) Randy Kryn 13:28, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. The former First Lady is clearly the primary topic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:59, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. Jackie O refers to Jackie Kennedy Onassis, decades preceding, and overwhelmingly more significant. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 05:23, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
- Comment – I disambiguated all the links to Jackie O; most were to the radio host, one was to Onassis, and one to the opera. This primarytopic setup is lame; it should be a disambiguation page, so that when people link it, it will be flagged for disambiguation. Things would be better all around. As per IMDB page (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0642913/), Jackie O was born in Adelaide, not Tasmania.
