Alright, you've waited long enough for a review, I'll bite. Since I don't have much going on due to the quarantine, I'll try and help out with the GAN backlog. Overall, this is an excellent little article. I just have a few minor quibbles.
- In the lede, I think you should mention where this album lands within the context of Davis' career. If I remember correctly, Bitches Brew was Davis' first venture into jazz rock/jazz fusion, which was an important period in his career.
- In the release and reception section, does the Christgau quote "piece of recording" really need to be there? Wouldn't it just be easier to say it was his favorite recording from Davis since Milestones and Kind of Blue? The quote breaks up the flow of the sentence.
- I think you should get rid of the Iggy Pop part in the legacy and reappraisal section. Yes it's nice that Iggy Pop likes the album, but I'm sure a bunch of other musicians like it too, they just haven't said it. Did the album influence Iggy Pop in any way? If it did, you should mention it. If not, the whole paragraph seems trivial.
That's it. Once you've addressed these comments, you'll have yourself another album to add to your GA collection. Famous Hobo (talk) 07:08, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you. I added a note in the lead about it being Davis' most overt venture into rock music, removed the Christgau quote, and found additional text about the album's influence on Iggy Pop's music. isento (talk) 08:52, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
- Alright, everything looks good. You're all good to go. Famous Hobo (talk) 08:06, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
