The result of the move request was: consensus to move the 1867 Hendry to Jack Hendry (footballer, born 1867); no consensus to move the other Hendry to the base title, although this may be worth revisiting again in the future. Dekimasuよ! 18:09, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
– I think the present-day player, who plays for Celtic and Scotland, is now the primary topic. Jmorrison230582 (talk) 20:28, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- Support first, but redirect Jack Hendry to John Hendry. In books the footballer whose 1891 FA Cup Quarter Final handball led to the introduction of penalty kicks to the FA Cup is still more notable. In ictu oculi (talk) 22:24, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

- Support first and Oppose second and also Jack Hendry should become a disambiguation page because no accurate source says which one is absoutely more notable. Hhhhhkohhhhh (talk) 11:22, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- Support:
- Jack Hendry → Jack Hendry (footballer, born 1867)
- Jack Hendry (footballer, born 1995) → stays where it is
- and then turn Jack Hendry into a redirect to John Hendry. GiantSnowman 11:32, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- That strikes me as the least helpful solution, no? This is a clear TWODABS situation -- sending users searching for a name to page almost entirely of people who do not go by Jack Hendry seems counterintuitive.--Yaksar (let's chat) 23:44, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- Support In a TWODABS situation. Here we have two players, one of who little is known about at all, and one who, while maybe not David Beckham, is getting a substantial number of page views. Given that the one that is currently the primary, even as the primary, gets around 1-5 views per day, and the other gets around over 100, it seems safe to assign a relative primary in a TWODABS situation.--Yaksar (let's chat) 23:47, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- Support first; oppose second. "Jack Hendry" should either be its own dab page or it should redirect to John Hendry. Paintspot Infez (talk) 15:05, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
