More About Jack
[edit]As 'bot stubs go, this ain't a bad start. The Gussow obit. cited conveys a decent-enough precis of Jack--at least as I knew (and knew of) him. There's vastly more re. his influence as a teacher of the stage, and I hope he is eventually credited with his due in that aspect of his career. Jack was so gentle and Socratic, it's easy to recollect of him in workshop as the collegial mentor. But that was his subtle way. Actually, he saw right through your bullshit if you were trying to talk over a plot fault or weak moment of characterization after a read-through. You couldn't fool Jack.

Clean-up tag
[edit]I've reinserted the clean-up tag on this article as it still needs major reworking to comply to Wikipedia standards. The most glaring issue from a stylistic point is the lack of sections, it essentially reads like a biographical book, not an encyclopedia article. It also does not comply to with Neutral point of view standards and does not include reliable sources. Please leave the tag up until the article can be cleaned up substantially - it is not a critism of the current article, it invites more eyes to the page in order to help raise the standard of the article...and isn't that why we're all here? Thanks! ponyo (talk) 19:21, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
