FreeBMD research
[edit]Assuming that Davies was at least 18 in 1945 and no older than 39 in that year, I looked up possible births on FreeBMD. Penclawdd is on the Gower peninsula and was in Glamorganshire in the early twentieth century. The closest match I could find was a birth registered in Gower district in December quarter of 1921 for an Eifion Davies, although it doesn't give a middle initial.
