[edit]If anyone has a picture of Dr. Daniels it would be a great addition to the page. -RainKing61
I think the redirect should be restored. If someone searches "Jack Daniels" they should be sent here, if someone searches "Jack Daniel's" they should be sent to the whiskey. They'll figure it out on their own. -RainKing61
High % of HRmax?
[edit]How are the percentages so high? Are they correct? I've seen mentions elsewhere that training with 75% HRmax is already extremely high intensity. If they're correct here, then it seems some pulse meter manufacturers are seriously aiming low with their HRmax% counts... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.136.20.59 (talk) 12:35, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
- 75% HRmax is not "extremely high intensity". I would call it "medium". Training ranges between 60%-65% on the lower end and 95%-100% on the upper end, depending on the book/trainer you use (notice: these numbers are for running only. other sports have different ranges). People who just run for fun or to get/stay healthy do not need to train with more than 80% or 85%, so if you are running with 65% or 70% it's totally fine for basic fitness and health. Please note that you need to really test the HFmax for it to be used this way. You should not calculate your HFmax with some kind of formula, because the individual heart rate can differ significantly from the results of those formulas. There are people with a HFmax which is a lot lower than the one calculated and for them 75% of the calculated(!) HFmax could easily be 85% or 90% or their real HFmax and therefore be intense. --92.224.50.198 (talk) 15:00, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
