[edit]Hello,
I have contested this PROD as I think it is obvious that this is a real person and is obviously a main figure in Canadian Motorsport. Motor sports in Canada are not as popular as they are in American, so I can understand not being able to find sources for the article easily. I have fixed the reference with the updated link. Regards.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 16:19, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- Being a "real person" doesn't make you notable under WP:ATHLETE. Do you have any sources that establish where Jack Christie raced? "Foruma I Car" is not a racing series I'm familiar with and if it's supposed to say Formula 1, then no, he didn't race in Formula 1. -Drdisque (talk) 17:02, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- All the reference says is that he is a former Formula car driver. A Formula car is not always an F1 car. Really the article needs to be expanded to include that he is the founder of many racing leagues. If being recognized by the national hall of fame as a man on the forefront of Canadian Motorsport doesn't push you over the notability threshold, I don't know what does.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 23:21, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- Then the article should say "Formula Car" not "Foruma I Car". What racing league? Have any links? If this guy was inducted into the hall of fame then surely it was for a reason! -00:46, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
- I have the link to his hall of fame induction. Look in the reference section, that link is working now. If you think it should say something different, WP:BOLD and fix it.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 15:57, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

- Ok, now I am 100% confused. I am sure your intention are great, but you just removed this man's introduction into the Canadian motorsport hall of fame, seemingly because you think that his hall of fame induction isn't reliable and doesn't make him notable. I don't get it. I'm putting the link back. I'm not sure where you are from, but here in Canada, an introduction into the hall of fame is of great importance.--Gordonrox24 |

- I removed the link because the one that was there was broken. Now you've fixed it. Consider the issue closed. I suggest checking some of the Hall of Fame links in other articles you created because they may be broken as well. -Drdisque (talk) 21:46, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yes I know it was broken, but my first post clearly states that I fixed the link when I contested the PROD. Yes, all of the links are now broken, I guess they changed servers or something, and now an html is required at the end of all the links. My editing here is limited at the moment, but I will eventually get to fixing them.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 01:29, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
