In 1919 Jack Barry as player-manager of 1919 Boston Red Sox, had returned from military service. Barry and his family lived in Worcester MA. The family always says that Barry, as a close friend of Babe Ruth and an brilliant coach, is the person who decided to move Babe Ruth to the outfield and end Babe' pitching career because he understood how important the Babe's power hitting would be in every game. Pitching was only every few games. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SrkhikerS (talk • contribs) 16:29, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
