Is the 'Controversy' section necessary? It doesn't sound that controversial to me. 151.231.100.226 (talk) 16:54, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Jack Ü's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 14:28, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

Jack Ü → Jack U – Name stylising of the duo can't be accepted on Wikipedia, and to make the name a easier search. Aaron's The Best (talk) 06:04, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 15:42, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- Why? redirects with U are in place. Oppose In ictu oculi (talk) 07:47, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- Not needed. This is pretty common in heavy metal music, see Queensrÿche and Motörhead for instance. Karst (talk) 15:49, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

- Oppose - Having just commented on the other 2 (1, 2) I've suddenly realized the nom had sneakily tried to remove the "Ü" without any consensus ... and failed rather miserably, Anyway no valid reason for moving and the "Ü" is frequent throughout the article. –Davey2010Talk 17:56, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose, we don't get to rename things in the world to suit our conventions. bd2412 T 18:36, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose move. It's easier to redirect from Jack U (which is already in place) rather than to rename the page. ONR (talk) 13:25, 24 November 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:TSC. Pppery 15:50, 24 November 2016 (UTC)
- TSC has no relevance to this discussion at all; it only addresses characters which must not be used for technical reasons. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ 11:07, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose per MOS:TM since this stylization is overwhelmingly actually used, as is also the case for, e.g., Mötley Crüe, but not, e.g., Spinal Tap (band) and This is Spinal Tap (given with an umlaut over the "n" on the movie poster and soundtrack album). We've already been over this many times before. The canonical cases are Deadmau5 and iPhone (almost never given as "Deadmaus" or "Iphone" in reliable sources) versus Pink (singer) and Kesha, rarely given their chosen "P!nk" and "Ke$ha" stylizations (and which they don't consistently use for themselves). — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ 11:06, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

Is Jack U as supergroup?
[edit]I was curious as to what a supergroup is, so I was reading the article and thought "well, that sounds like Jack U to me." But I come here and I see it's listed as a duo. Should a duo be listed as a supergroup? AKA Casey Rollins Talk With Casey 15:45, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
