Is Open Dots still a going concern? Their website appears to no longer be registered, and it looks to me that there's been no PR activity since about 2016. 92.10.226.31 (talk) 17:54, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like it has gone down since 2018. Still worth keeping up via archive, considering the historical precedence it has to wireless charging standard like qi. Last one is at https://web.archive.org/web/20181013030304/https://opendotsalliance.org/ .

Looks like JVIS is still selling products employing the technology, so I retitled the article JVIS. HueSurname (talk) 04:16, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I can see that https://www.pcworld.co.nz/article/600521/sticker-can-wirelessly-charge-your-smartphone-tablet/ indicates that JVIS was the one that pushed this standard, however I don't think they are notable enough to rename this page to JVIS. However opendots is much more notable, especially since I'm recommending this idea to the DIY drone community. However its a good idea to make a section under history that this standard was pushed by JVIS and that this standard is somewhat defunct in the wider charging industry due to the presence of Qi wireless charging Mofosyne (talk)
