Talk:JASCO Applied Sciences
This article is rated C-class on Wikipedia's content assessment scale. |
Contested deletion
[edit]This page is not unambiguously promotional, because
- It contains many third party references including peer-reviewed journal articles and news items
- It provides background info on numerical modelling of underwater sound and measuring underwater sound (which don't have wikipedia articles) and their use in environmental impact assessments.
- JASCO Applied Sciences is contracted to carry out portions of environmental impact assessments of industrial projects. Many such projects have public interest and the public may seek information about JASCO as a company.
- This page is no more self-serving than the Wildlife Acoustics article, which was accepted.
I can add more history info and references if needed. I did have 5 or 6 more references and another paragraph, but they were lost after I encountered a bug (which I submitted a helpdesk ticket for under the username JASCOAppliedSciences). --Leela42 (talk) 18:49, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
I have started adding a list of notable projects, which should succeed in meeting the Notability guidelines for the page. I will add more later when I have time. --Leela42 (talk) 3 Sep 2021 (UTC)

[edit]This page is not unambiguously promotional, because this article "describes its subject from a neutral point of view" so should "not qualify for [the stated] criterion" Wikipedia:CSD#G11. --Leela42 (talk) 18:56, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
