A Few Factual Errors in the WIBR section
[edit]I worked with him during the time period in which WIBR-AM switched formats to country. He had no problems with talking for an extended time (as ANYONE who knew him would gladly tell you.) That portion of the article seems like pure speculation. The sound effects, bells, whistles, and humorous recorded material were all elements of his show, and were done to entertain, not due to any medical problem.
He also did not do a mid-day show at WIBR. He was always the morning drive jock, and in fact, was program director for the station while he was there.
This all occured in the very late 70s to early 80s.
