Charles Simmons

[edit]

At Brierley Hill (UK Parliament constituency) Charles Simmons is referred to as Charles James Simmons. The link here and there and all of the Charles Simmons articles all directed to the 1912 Olympic gymnast until recently. I've fixed that and created Charles Simmons (politician) for the Labour Government 1945-1951 Lord of the Treasury by the name. Is this the same fellow? Until confirmed, I'm breaking the link.--Doug.(talk contribs) 05:36, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They were the same. Sam Blacketer 06:26, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Talbot's WWII service - clarification of force needed

[edit]

This page mentions he served from 1941 to 1945 in the "Royal Army Observer Corps". Not surprised it is redlinked, no such Corps existed. It could have been the Royal Observer Corps, a civil defence organisation, or - if this is a mistaken interpretation of the initials RAOC - the Royal Army Ordnance Corps.Cloptonson (talk) 21:36, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
