September 2012 assessment
[edit]A request was made at WikiProject Biography to assess this article.[1] I have reviewed it and rated the current version as C-class. Issues that you may want to look at to take this to B-class are:
- The lead is too short. As a rough guide I would suggest having a sentence for every major section. On the current size of the article you should be aiming for 3 or 4 sentences.
- Some of the citations do not list the publisher and/or the author. This makes it harder to judge the quality of the sourcing.
- There is a heavy reliance on primary source material - for example, statements about Sonic Corp appear to rely on websites related to Sonic Corp. There is nothing inherently wrong with that, but the referencing would be stronger if you could find equivalent third party sources.
- The article is fairly glowing with praise, which suggests it may be a little unbalanced. This could be a symptom of using too many primary sources. If the third party sources you find still support the same balance of material then there isn't a problem.
I hope these points are of assistance. Good luck. Road Wizard (talk) 20:28, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
Suggested Image Edit
[edit]I am the corporate archivist for Sonic in Oklahoma City. I am suggesting change to Cliff Hudson's photo because this one is a more up-to-date image of him. The sub title under the current photo would be best deleted since this new photo is not at a Sonic Drive-In. I am including the info that is posted below the photo and it includes a small change in his title. He has since become the President of the company and it would seem remiss of me to not mention that.
Born: 1954, Dallas, Texas, U.S. Residence: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, U.S. Nationality: American Alma mater: University of Oklahoma, Georgetown University Occupation: Chairman, President and CEO of Sonic Corp. Spouse(s): Leslie Hudson
The new photo is one of him at a speaking engagement and we have complete rights to the image. SonicMint (talk) 19:34, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
