Bushwacker's qualified rides

[edit]

This seems to keep coming up. Bushwacker has been ridden for 3 qualified rides on the PBR.

The reason that http://www.newsweek.com/2014/10/24/bushwacker-michael-jordan-bulls-276748.html says he has only been ridden once on the BFTS series is because it says it is only talking about the last 5 years. Article was written in 2014. That means the article is talking about years 2010 - 2014 when he was a fully mature bull. His first year on tour in 2009, he was 3 years old and still not quite full grown. He was ridden twice in October of 2009 in Las Vegas. Both times were on the PBR. One was on the BFTS, and one was not.

  • He was ridden by Markus Mariluch on the PBR (not BFTS) Las Vegas Oct. 2009.
  • He was ridden by Thiago Paguioto on the PBR BFTS Las Vegas Oct. 2009.
  • He was ridden by J.B. Mauney on the PBR BFTS Tulsa, OK, Aug 2013.

So, he was ridden twice on the BFTS and 3 times at all levels. Or 1 time not on the BFTS level.

Here's a PBR article that says he was ridden by three people, so you don't have to just trust probullstats:

Close paraphrasing

[edit]

Hi Leercekim I noticed your edit in this article since I wrote most of it. The content too closely follows the source in the article you used. It's called close paraphrasing. It's discussed in this policy Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. It's something you'll want to take care of right away as it can be tagged as a copyright violation. I know what it's like, I have done it myself. That's why I am not reporting it or anything, just giving you a chance to address it. If certain editors or admins see it, they might do more. But you are a newbie and deserve a chance to take care of it yourself I feel. Also, here's a tool that will help you check your articles in future: Earwig dawnleelynn(talk) 21:27, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Resident address

[edit]

Uricarrillo94 Hi, I can't find any reliable sources WP:RS for this address change. This is not a change to use the citation needed tag on. I will look more later when I have more time. dawnleelynn(talk) 16:41, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Content changes to add source, remove puffery

[edit]

Uricarrillo94 Hi, thanks for your edits to this article. I had to remove a bit of content because I couldn't find source. Mostly, the quotes about jump for jump and 1. If you can source, we can get it back in; they are good quotes. I added another quote in that I hear all the time on the show and during interviews with him as I had the source. I've got lots of source for this bullrider. He's the most famous so there is much available. The content in the intro needs to be sourced in the body somewhere, which is just one way to do it according to the manual of style in Wiki. I hope you feel free to continue working in here. Write more and massage what I've done. Just remember it's an encyclopedia so try to use fewer adjectives and adverbs. A good way to get some praise in is usually in a quote, but we always want to use quotes sparingly too. When I was first editing in Wiki I had issues all the time with puffery and too many quotes, and even now I have to watch myself. Your additions were really good and spurred me to add a legacy section. Anyway, an article is never done. Thanks! dawnleelynn(talk) 20:51, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Dawn. No problem. If there is any information that I feel is worthy of being put in the article, I’ll be sure to add it. I just have trouble trying to source. I hope you are able to help me source if you have the chance. Thanks for letting me know about the Legacy section. I really appreciate your help!
