Scope of the page

[edit]

This is a disambiguation page and should be kept pared way down from this incarnation. Entries should only include entities that are commonly referred to as "JB" or "J.B." such as the play J.B. or Johor Bahru. I can't imagine a single person on the list being searched for as "JB" and since Wikipedia is not a dictionary or directory, people shouldn't be listed here simply because their initials are JB. — AjaxSmack 06:51, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in agreement with Ajax above, and I'd like clarification on two acts, Justin Beiber and the Jonas Brothers. As far as I know, neither is known commonly as "JB," and it seems like the entries are added and removed a couple of times a day. Does either act belong on this disambig page? Boy, response to this one has been pretty underwhelming. I still see the two acts being added with no sourcing. Any further thoughts? Dayewalker (talk) 20:52, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Neither of the acts' Wikipedia page has anything relating to a nickname. Dayewalker (talk) 21:11, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You know, I don't think there's a single person, place or object in the JB page with a source saying that it's referred to as JB, so using that as reasoning to delete the Jonas Brothers and Justin Bieber would mean that we should delete everything else as well. I'm going to add Justin Bieber again. Plus, Dayewalker, Wikipedia users can't use Wikipedia as a source. And, if we're using as far as I know as justification, Justin Bieber starts a lot of his songs by saying JB, and Usher calls him that during Somebody to Love. Jonas Brothers I don't know anything about, so I'm not sure about them, but I'm sure that's enough reason for leaving Justin Bieber on the page. --Conoceymedio (talk) 15:16, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

JB means too Jonas Brothers I don't know why you remove them. I know a lot things about The Jonas Brothers and the fact that you don't know anything about them doesn't mean that you have to remove and they don't exist. Exist a lot space to the two JB (Jonas Brothers and Justin Bieber) there's many reasons that I can say about the JB in the Jonas but that doesn't matter the only thing I demanding is that I want (and all the Jonatics (Jonas Fan) want it too) is the Jonas come back to the JB page cuz' the first in identify with the JB was the Jonas. I say all this in peace. I don't wanna any discussion I just wanna have a point. Hope you understand. I can't believe why is James Brown is not included and Justin Beiber is? The King of Soul should definately be on the list.Taxicats (talk) 21:19, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm watching The NFL Today right now, and I heard the other James Brown being called "JB" as well. ZappaOMati 16:38, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest to include Janne JB Christoffersson. Places I know of where he is referred to as JB: the name of his Wiki-article (i know i know ;p), the booklet of the new Ayreon album he contributed to, where he appears just as "JB". Ahti333 (talk) 19:39, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I added American musician John "JB" Bell from Widespread Panic. He is commonly referred to as "JB." This is referenced on his wikipedia page and in many of the wikipedia articles for Widespread Panic albums where he is credited as "John "JB" Bell." He is also referred to as JB in the following news articles (among many others): http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052702304520804576343530898444712, http://www.smallchichome.com/2011/05/very-surprising-look-into-home-of-john.html. --Sk8punk3d288 (talk) 00:55, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
