Accurate and full name first in BLP lede
[edit]Putting this on a couple of Talk pages. WP:Manual_of_Style/Biographies#First_mention states:
"While the article title should generally be the name by which the subject is most commonly known, the subject's full name should be given in the lead paragraph, if known."
None of the examples given in the guideline support the way this article first line is formatted. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:55, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- Isn't the subject's full name given in the lead paragraph? Fyunck(click) (talk) 20:18, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- It is but as above not in the format in the MOS link. Now why did I specifically think this BLP was egregious enough to be noted:
- (1) WP is okay with Jörgen in Swedish BLPs
- Jörgen Windahl is a Swedish tennis player (as article created)
- Jörgen Persson is a Swedish table tennis player..
- Jörgen Elofsson is a Swedish songwriter..
- Jörgen Kruth is a Swedish kickboxer..
- Jörgen Olsson is a Swedish orienteering competitor...
- (2) as above it was created at Jörgen Windahl, but moved without, apparently, discussion. In ictu oculi (talk) 04:44, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
- Following above, I have added 2 Swedish sources - evidently the player's primary notability is in Sweden. Also I am reverting the undiscussed move from Jörgen Windahl. If someone wants to move it again they should initiate a RM. In ictu oculi (talk) 15:20, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
