Middlesbrough transfer
[edit]Aliadiere has not yet officially signed for Middlesbrough, and until he does it should be noted that his current club is Arsenal. Once the deal is officially announced and the transfer is signed and sealed, then he officially is a Middlesbrough player. Until then, he is officially Arsenal's. --Simmo676 22:29, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Very First Line
[edit]Jérémie Aliadière (born 30 March 1983) is a French footballer who plays as a striker. He is currently without a club after deciding not to renew his contract at the end of the 2009–2010 season.
Where this information comes from is unclear. Aliadiere stated, after scoring against Scunthorpe United on Boxing Day 2009, that he hoped he could earn a new deal with Middlesbrough.See link at bottom And subsequent story. As it transpired Gordon Strachan reaffirmed the decision he made as Celtic Manager, (Curtailing the ineffectual and persistantly injured player's stay from a season to one month......Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has already discussed the move with Bhoys counterpart Gordon Strachan over a season-long loan deal.
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11670_2340148,00.html)....) labeling him surplus to requirements, citing ability AND wage demands as main reasons.
Middlesbrough annouced they expected Aliadiere to leave at the end of the season after token contract negotiations expectedly broke down. What was called a contract "Renewal" was in fact a totally renegoitiated and massively scaled down contract(Following Middlesbrough being relegated from the Premiership). The implications of which suggest Middlesbrough were about to push Aliadiere......Encouraging him to jump and to avoid the stigma (and subsequent doubts from other Managers) of being "Released", therefore aiding a move to another club.
This has failed to transpire.

Middlesbrough striker Jeremie Aliadiere admits he faces an uncertain future at the club, despite marking his return to first-team football with a goal.
Aliadiere rounded off a 3-0 win over Scunthorpe at the Riverside on Boxing Day after Adam Johnson and Rhys Williams had put Boro in control.
The 26-year-old was making his first start under Gordon Strachan following a two-month lay-off with an ankle injury and the Frenchman admits he faces an uncertain future on Teesside.
The former Arsenal man joined Strachan at Celtic in 2005 for a season-long loan, although the deal was cut short after just one month by the Scot and the striker was sent back to the Gunners.
And Aliadiere said he must continue to perform well if he is to have a future at the club.
He said: "It's frustrating when a new manager comes in as you want to prove you should play.
"He must have been impressed in training because he started me.
"It's a very important time, I need to play well and get myself a new contract, which runs out at the end of the season."
