hello fellow Wikipedians,
i find it a bit strange to write about a Brasilian author and first mention her works "in English" and only after that mention her works "in other languages", as if English is her main language (which it isn't.) It would be more logical to mention her works in their original language first and after that the translations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.73.175.38 (talk) 13:54, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

Modern Brazil Course - EDIT
[edit]I decided to edit the Ecofeminism part of the article on Ivone Gebara as I consider it to be a central part of her life that needs to be developed on. Therefore, to give a small idea on her pivotal works regarding ecofeminism, I wrote a small paragraph that includes a few informations that could be useful or interesting.
Addition
[edit]For years, Ivone Gebara, in addition to being a philosopher and economic theologian from Brazil, has accompanied a truly committed woman who practices her theology to denounce the patriarchal structures of a predominantly male discourse and the unjust societal system in particular within the Church by connecting them to ecology. The ecofeminist ethic is a central theme of many of her books. She defines ecofeminism as an ideology that takes an integrating view of all the phenomena of life, both when it considers each human being and when it plans to reflect on the world. (“Dictionary of Feminist Theologies”). Today, Ivone Gebara lives in a poor neighborhood, among the women, children and men of a village in the northeast of Brazil, near Recife, a way of life that animates her experiences and her writings.
