No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 03:29, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
Iven → Iven, Ostvorpommern — Relisted. fuzzy510 (talk) 07:29, 3 March 2011 (UTC) The page "Iven" should be a disambiguation page for the village of the original article and Iven (given name). The suggested new page title adheres to the standards for naming geographical pages when creating disambiguation pages. The village obviously isn't important, the WikiProject Germany already has tagged it as such. While the given name might not be much more important, I'd say it's at least equally important and a disambiguation page should be created. --Leifsinger (talk) 22:37, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support and move Iven (given name) to Iven. Per WP:TWODABS we should not use a disambiguation page when there are only two articles to disambiguate between. A hatnote in the primary topic article will do. And I would say it is pretty clear to me that the given name is the primary topic, as that links to three people with that name. I am actually a bit puzzled that a village with a population under 200 can pass as notable, but then again, I am not that educated in the notability criteria for towns and villages.TheFreeloader (talk) 09:14, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- Comment I have no objection to the move to Iven, Ostvorpommern, but am not certain that the given name, which is pretty uncommon, is any more notable than the village. I don't really think that either fits the definition of primary use of the term. However, I agree that hatnotes are more appropriate than creating a disambiguation page. - Oppose. A DAB page is definitely not needed per WP:TWODABS. The forename borders on non-notable (it is a derivative or diminutive of other names such as Ivo, Evan, Ivan) so keep the status quo. — AjaxSmack 18:54, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
- Weak oppose, not clear that either is more notable than the other, but now I've added a hatnote, the status quo seems perfectly reasonable and no reason to change just for the sake of it.--Kotniski (talk) 08:23, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose. This hamlet is called simple Iven, none of the people are. Articles should have PRIMARYUSAGE over dab pages.
- And if we do move, the disambiguation is over-precise. Use Iven, Pomerania, Iven, Germany or Iven (village). Septentrionalis PMAnderson 19:48, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
