[edit]What actually happened in 1963. When did it actually become a parish. The current article appears to be incorrect. Cafe Nervosa 22:22, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Requested move for lack of primary topic
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. The result of the move request was: moved. Consensus is that there is no primary topic here. The was no consensus on the suggestion of merging this dab page with ITU (disambiguation), but since that was not the focus of this discussion, it cannot be said to have been properly considered here. A new request may be opened on that suggestion of anyone wants to pursue it; no need for any delay. -- BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 00:26, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
– Itu, Nigeria has about the same population as Itu, Brazil and both articles are about the same length, so there is imho no primary topic. — JFG talk 22:44, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
- Support from books the Nigerian Itu seems slightly more mentioned. But yes, neither is a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. In ictu oculi (talk) 01:12, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
- And (after this move) text-merge ITU (disambiguation) to Itu? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:16, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
Oppose, per WP:TWODABS. Cleanliness first (talk) 06:59, 29 April 2014 (UTC)!vote by sock of site-banned user struck per WP:BMB. Favonian (talk) 17:54, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
- TWODABS states "If there are only two topics to which a given title might refer, but neither one is the primary topic, then it is appropriate to have a disambiguation page at the base name". So, on that basis, you should be in support. I've also added Itu River to the dab page, so there are now three topics. DrKiernan (talk) 19:58, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

- Support per precision; eschew ambiguity. Dicklyon (talk) 04:33, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
- Support moving the location, but merge the two disambiguation pages together, and redirect "Itu" to ITU (disambiguation) (or move ITU dab page to Itu) -- 65.94.171.206 (talk) 07:32, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
- Comment I suggest only creating a DAB page for Itu, not merging it with the ITU DAB. Itu already has a See also section pointing to the ITU DAB, and vice versa. Note that ITU has a primary topic, whereas Itu doesn't (the reason for this move request). — JFG talk 05:36, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: clear consensus to move the page, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 00:03, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
Itu (Brazil) → Itu, São Paulo – That would be the correct name for the page per WP:NCCS#Brazil. Victão Lopes Fala! 22:42, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

- Support. Uncontroversial change, complies with the relevant naming conventions for Brazilian place names. Hack (talk) 05:00, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support. Always better to disambiguate with state rather than country, and use of a comma is always preferable over parentheses for place names. Zarcadia (talk) 12:41, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
- I have restored the article title per the original requested move. It should not have been moved to the parenthetical disambiguator in the first place. No comment on the new target. DrKiernan (talk) 21:46, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
- Suppory - per nom and Hack and Zarcadia. In ictu oculi (talk) 16:59, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
