[edit]Oceanh, can you help establish that this meets WP:NSPORTS or WP:GNG? Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 18:37, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
- From WP:NSPORTS, "... sports figures are likely to meet Wikipedia's basic standards of inclusion if they have, for example, participated in a major international amateur or professional competition at the highest level (such as the Olympics)", and FIS Alpine World Ski Championships should represent the highest level in this sport. As Biran participated in the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, I created this article, assuming WP:NSPORTS to be met. I have added a few more sources, in order to support WP:GNG. First set of requested additions.
Biran is a dual U.K./Israel citizen.[1] His nickname is Itty.[2]
When Biran was six years old, he and his family moved to Verbier, Switzerland.[3] They then moved to Israel, and subsequently he attended University College School in London in the United Kingdom.[4][5][6] He now lives and trains in Les Houches, France, and in Switzerland.[7][8][9] He has made applications to Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, and to Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, the United States.[10]
He said "I started skiing like all Israelis do: At Club Meds in Europe."[11] Biran started to ski at age three, and to compete at age 12.[12][13] His ski club is the Israel Ski Club, and his coach is Didier Schmidt.[14][15]
Biran competed on behalf of Israel at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, and came in 23rd in the Alpine Combined, and 38th in the Super G.[16] In January 2017 he won the Italian National Junior Slalom Race, in Valtournenche.[17] In February 2017 he came in second in the Bosnia and Herzegovina National Championships in slalom, and third in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Junior National Championships in slalom.[18] In March 2017, he came in second in the CIT Giant Slalom in Villard de Lans, France.[19] In November 2017 he won the CIT Slalom in Val Thorens, France.[20]
He is representing Israel at the 2018 Winter Olympics, racing in the slalom on 18 February and in the giant slalom on 22 February.[21][22]
--Also, please add to the infobox that his height is 6 feet 2 inches, and that his weight is 176 pounds.[23][24]
Second set of requested additions.
Please move the third paragraph in "Biography" (which starts "He said "I started skiing") down, making it the first paragraph in "Sports Career").
Please move the last paragraph in "Biography (which starts "Biran competed on behalf of Israel at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics") down, adding it at the end of the paragraph in "Sports Career" that begins "He was among two participants".
Please add to the next to the last paragraph, after "racing in the slalom on 18 February", the following: (in which he placed 49th out of 110 competitors)[25]

- Partly done: Added height, infobox for alpine skiers does not support weight. Moved all sports career to that section heading. Most of what is requested here was already done. Please do not in the future copy large sections of text from the article - it makes it very difficult to determine what the actual new text is, Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 20:10, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
- It was all new text at the time it was requested. Another editor made most of the requested changes after it was requested, but before you saw it. Check the history. Thanks. BTW -- the other editor inadvertently (I guess deleted this .. can someone put it back?
- Also, the last paragraph in Biography should be moved down to become the first paragraph in the section below it. Thanks. 2604:2000:E016:A700:51D7:BBA3:E091:5DDA (talk) 21:15, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
