Oil Refineries in Bahrain

[edit]

The sentence about Italian bombing of oil refineries in Bahrain is irrelevant here. Bahrain is part of the Arabian Peninsula. PRRP (talk) 07:13, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since the bombings of Palestine, Bahrain (including part of Saudi Arabia) and Aden (for which we have no article at the moment) were all part of a minor Italian air offensive against British interests in the Middle East, they belong together in one article. They are not extensive enough on their own to warrant their own articles unless the main article gets long enough to require splitting. Srnec (talk) 23:53, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose - i see no reason for merger, as both events are separated in location and time. It seems the only logic for merger is flowed, since both events are notable per sources.Greyshark09 (talk) 19:21, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Conditionally Oppose for same reason as Greyshark09 unless it's true that these were all part of the same "minor Italian air offensive." In other words, if secondary sources showed that Italians at the time viewed as part of the same offensive, or if this is how they are viewed by current military historians, then I would support merger. But nothing cited in either article supports this view and (based only in what is in articles) it appears that these WWII bombing campaigns have in common only that they were carried out by the Royal Italian Air Force and took place in Middle East --Sjsilverman (talk) 20:40, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Totally Oppose. Same reasons of Greyshark09 and Sjsilverman. They were totally unrelated air bombings, done in different months. Indeed in the Middle East there were even Italian air bombings againts Aden.--LoanP8 (talk) 21:51, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
According to the number of wikipedians who oppose the merger, I cancel the "merger" tag on the article.--LoanP8 (talk) 01:16, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
