Carlson and Rush biographies
[edit]Given that actors RIchard Carlson and Barbara Rush both have biography articles at Wikipedia, reprinting most of those biographies in this article is unnecessary padding. That's what hyperlinks were invented for. — Walloon 00:54, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
Edit biographies
[edit]Sorry about that. Guess I became over zealous about what belongs on a film page and what belongs elsewhere. i removed most of the bio information. Check it out if you get a chance and see if that is better. thanks for the previous input. Philbertgray 21:37, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
Formatting
[edit]At every text size I have tried this page's formatting is atrocious. Remove the pic of Carlson and the paragraph about him under Production, please! Even then, I am afraid that the Cast box you have is never gonna format cleanly. --Bill W. Smith, Jr. 17:56, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Bradbury's reaction
[edit]Nothing is said about Ray Bradbury's reaction to showing the aliens, which he strongly objected to. WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 01:46, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
The Professor and Scary Man
[edit]Is there any way to work into this article that George the Zombified Lineman (Russell Johnson) in this film is the distracted polymath on Gilligan's Island?68.178.50.46 (talk) 02:52, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
- Probably not. FWiW Bzuk (talk) 12:16, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- How about: "...The Arizona setting and the alien abduction of telephone lineman, played by Russell Johnson who later reprised his technical skills as The Professor in the popular TV series Gilligan's Island, and whose line in the movie "Yes, the Sun; it's beautiful." would be sampled in the song "Sun", by band "Hook the Captain" ? Three D Effects
[edit]There is no mention of Universal's use of 3D or the fact that this was their first 3D widescreen offering.
