Attempted white-washing
[edit]I note with some amusement the IP address 151.0.146.242 has twice removed the parenthesis about Domenico Dolce leaving the school after four months because he thought he had nothing to learn there (cited to an article in the New Yorker, which I believe to be incontestably reliable source. I have again restored that material to the article. Whois shows the address 151.0.146.242 to be registered to "Italy Milan Istituto Marangoni", with netname "FASTWEB-ISTITUTO_MARANGONI". White-wash, anyone? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 22:22, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- And now 217.111.152.245, whose IP location is Italy Istituto Marangoni Srl is trying to do the same. It must really rankle with the school that Dolce left after four months; however, it's all over the internet, so that cat is now well out of the bag. Location
[edit]I have updated the location from "Shoreditch" to "Spitalfields". The school is located on Fashion Street, which is located in Spitalfields (for verification, see the map of Spitalfields Parish c. 1885 in the Wikipedia article on Spitalfields). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Polkatronixx (talk • contribs) 07:44, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- Well, the Guardian seems to think it's in Shoreditch, 5 minutes' walk from Shoreditch High Street Station. That's pretty close. What some old map says is of little interest here - our content is based on modern reliable sources. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 23:00, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
Spitalfields Market is located 5 minutes from Shoreditch High Street Station - that doesn't mean it's in Shoreditch. Even Wikipedia's article on shoreditch doesn't place the boundaries this far south.

Edit: it's a 6 minute walk. But look at this map:
As you can see Shoreditch is located north of Spitalfields and Fashion Street is located just to the south of Old Spitalfields Market. --Polkatronixx (talk) 12:21, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
You can also see, from this history of Spitalfields, that Fashion Street lies in Spitalfields: http://inspireconversations.co.uk/history/iln-blog-post/

Finally, as you can see from this link, Tower Hamlets Council consider Fashion Street to be in Spitalfields Ward - as they are the local government authority, I think they'd count as a 'reliable source':
