Requested move 20 November 2016

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: No consensus. Even though no one directly stated that they opposed the move, the comments suggest that there may need to be a wider discussion to establish consistency in how to name these sorts of articles. I don't see a strong consensus either way at this point, and there has been no participation since the last time the article was relisted, so I'm closing this for now. Islamic view of deathDeath in Islam – Asked in my user talk page. I better have it discussed, Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:25, 20 November 2016 (UTC) --Relisting. JudgeRM (talk to me) 03:00, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: It is probably true that 'Islamic view on XZY' is technically more accurate than 'XZY in Islam'. However, as illustrated here, most of such articles have been named 'XZY in Islam', and 'Islamic view on XZY' has been made redirect page. In December 2012, a discussion took place which decided that articles of Islamic prophets should be moved to 'XZY in Islam'. One reason for this may be that 'XZY in Islam' is a straight-forward style that tells readers at once what the topic is. But in case of 'Islamic view on XZY', it is not until we reach the last word of the phrase that we know what the topic is. It seems we can't get the two advantages together, and one has to be sacrificed for the other. -AsceticRosé 16:48, 23 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Article creation 17 November 20166

[edit]

@AsceticRose: thank you for this article creation, there are already some partly overlapping articles Afterlife links Barzakh and Akhirah, Islamic eschatology mentions resurrection and last day judgment. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:09, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Article requires just a bit more editing

[edit]

This article seems to be a translation from a language other than English or perhaps the author uses English as a second language. The content seems clear enough, but there are some wording difficulties that could be addressed. I would be happy to give it a try, but I am Roman Catholic and think this work might be best done by a follower of Islam. I would hate to misrepresent anything in making changes.2605:A000:BFC0:21:1432:4CB9:846A:C1B8 (talk) 22:34, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contribution. Feel free to edit grammar, spelling and style, if something gets misinterpretated, we will refer to the point. Do not hesitate to improve articles, there are enough Wikipedians watching the article, so if something gets wrong, we will correct it.--VenusFeuerFalle (talk) 22:17, 25 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification not clear in the lead

[edit]

Is this necessary? I mean, just because something is elaborated in detail, it may still vary from source to source and have no conclusive answer at the end. Does this really contradict the other? VenusFeuerFalle (talk) 00:59, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
