Importance of Islam
[edit]Islam in Libya was very important to the gogernment polocies. Since the government was Islamic, there was a higher moral in the lives of the people. This is very good to see that there is a strong foundation for the country to rely on. The Koran is like the rules for the government.

Point of view
[edit]This article reads like it was written by the Libyan government: "Muammar al-Gaddafi is a highly devout Muslim who has repeatedly expressed a desire to exalt Islam and to restore it to its proper—i.e., central—place in the life of the people." - really? There's no evidence to support its claim that Gaddafi is devoutly Muslim, and the claim that the proper place of Islam is central is plainly a biassed claim that only makes sense to a Muslim. Putting women in the armed forces see Women in Libya is hardly a traditionally Islamic act. --Colapeninsula (talk) 10:22, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
