[edit]I added the fascist category to this man simply because he is a Boz Gurd (aka Grey Wolf), which is a fascist organization. - Fedayee 06:14, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- Boz gurd are not fascist, and they certainly are not in Azerbaijan. Hamidov is not known for ever supporting any fascist ideology. If you insist of making this POV edit, cite sources supporting your claim that Hamidov is an adherent of the Nazi ideology. Mind WP:BLP requirements. Grandmaster 07:44, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Fedayee, if Hamidov is a fascist, then Melkonian and Garabedian, members of ASALA, a terrorist organization as acknowledged by the U.S. State Department and several international organizations, most definitely fit into terrorism category. Is there any reason, why you were opposing addition of the category in those cases? Atabek 07:20, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
This article says he was a member of the Grey Wolves. The Grey Wolves article is under the category of fascism and in the lead is characterized as a neo-fascist organization with mutliple citations. What's the problem? Atabek, maybe you should see WP:POINT.-- Ευπάτωρ Talk!! 14:54, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- Eupator, please, provide references from neutral 3rd party sources that Grey Wolves of Azerbaijan are a fascist party and that Isgandar Hamidov had a "fascist" views. Until then, please, follow WP:POV and WP:BATTLE. Atabek 16:02, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- What the hell? Why are you posting those policies? What's the relation of WP:BATTLE to the above for example? Assume good faith Atabek: WP:AGF The Grey Wolves of Azerbaijan are the same as the Grey Wolves of Turkey. Are you saying they are not the same organization? -- Ευπάτωρ Talk!! 16:36, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- First, they are not the same organization, even though they had some connections. Second, as Atabek told you, cite a reliable third party source that calls Hamidov a "fascist". This is a biography of a living person and it cannot contain an unsourced libelous information. Grandmaster 06:32, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- Some quotes from WP:BLP:
- Unsourced or poorly sourced contentious material — whether negative, positive, or just questionable — about living persons should be removed immediately and without discussion from Wikipedia articles, talk pages, user pages, and project space.
- And the most appropriate one:
- Content should be sourced to reliable sources and should be about the subject of the article specifically. Beware of claims that rely on guilt by association. Editors should also be on the lookout for biased or malicious content about living persons. If someone appears to be pushing an agenda or a biased point of view, insist on reliable third-party published sources and a clear demonstration of relevance to the person's notability.
- So please no guilt by association, that's against the rules. Grandmaster 06:37, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- And of course, check this one out too: [1] Grandmaster 06:41, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
A chairman of a fascist organization is a fascist. Just like Bin Ladin, the president of a terrorist organization, is a terrorist. Noone claims guilt by association. We are not saying all Azeris are fascists, just some of them. No need to feel guilty or ashamed.--TigranTheGreat 08:55, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- Cite your sources, please. So far you provided none, and guilt by association is prohibited by the rules. Grandmaster 09:25, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Fascist pretty much fits as its in line with the ideology, pan Turkism is similar in many respects to fascism and ultra nationalism. - T Acamapichtli —Preceding unsigned comment added by T Acamapichtli (talk • contribs) 02:59, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
