Is the name of her last car ride companion correct?
[edit]The plot summary names the Italian who drove with Duncan on her last and fatal car ride was called (no Christian name given) Bugatti - a name that connotes Ettore Bugatti the motor manufacturer - but her wikipedia biography in English and French names him as Benoit Falchetto, her Italian-Frence vehicle mechanic. Is 'Bugatti' an error or was that the name he was given by the film writers in artistic licence or to perhaps disguise his identity?Cloptonson (talk) 18:59, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
- "Bugatti" is the name that appears in the film's credits. Falchetto died in 1967, so was still alive when the film was in production - this may be one reason the producers decided to omit his name from the film. Tevildo (talk) 07:48, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
- In the fictionalized film, Isadora is almost run-over by a handsome sports-car driver, who she spied earlier from her terrace. Her secretary Roger identifies the vehicle as a Bugatti, which becomes Isadora's nickname for the unknown driver she lusts after. Wiredwidget (talk) 23:34, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
