Birthplace of Isabella Greenway
[edit]The Wikipedia article states that Greenway was born in Boone County, KY. However, the biography on Greenway by Kristie Miller states that she was born in the Badlands of ND or SD. Where was she born?
Kristie Miller's biography does say she was born on her father's ranch. However, every available U.S. Census entry in which she appears (1900, 1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940) lists her birthplace as Kentucky. On a passenger list of the S.S. Olympic, on the 28th of September 1926, Isabella gives her birthplace as Boone County, Kentucky. A biography of Isabella by Floyd Negley, transcribed from Arizona Pioneers in the Fall 1997 Copper State Journal, and formerly found at the Rootsweb site of the Arizona State Genealogical Society, listed her birthplace as Dinsmore Farm, Boone County, Kentucky.
Unfortunately, since I can't provide a URL that leads directly to this information for users with a subscription service, I'm uncertain how to properly cite the information.
Ah, here's one that at least gets it down to Boone County, Kentucky: http://bioguide.congress.gov/scripts/biodisplay.pl?index=G000435 -- I'll add a citation to the article. Pdbg (talk) 01:57, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
