Sadly gives the wrong impression. The British approach of treating addiction as a medical problem dates back to the Rolleston Committee in 1926. Lady Frankau actually virtually created the 1960s heroin problem by massive overprescribing. In 1958 Sir Robert Brainchair of the Interdepartmental Commission on Drug Addiction reported to the Home Office : ‘your problem,gentlemen,can be summed up in two words - Lady Frankau’.Cairnsfred (talk) 04:05, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
