Will review. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 02:06, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No copyvio//external link issues. Fairly well-written, only a few comments: Sainsf (talk · contribs) 05:35, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lead
  • Could you add a few words on what "emir" means, to save the reader a click just to know the definition.
  • Here and in the article, you can just say "d." instead of "died" in the brackets.
Amir al-ʿarab
  • but prior to the Mamluk conquest of Syria in 1260, the amir al-ʿarab was Muhanna's uncle Ali ibn Haditha Perhaps reinforce this by separating it out into a separate line, like "It is known for certain that prior to the Mamluk conquest of Syria in 1260, the amir al-ʿarab was Muhanna's uncle Ali ibn Haditha."
  • (the last traditional Abbasid caliph...extended Abbasid family) Perhaps make this a note, it looks way too long to be bracketed

Rest looks good. Great job! Sainsf (talk · contribs) 05:35, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, this can be promoted. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 10:46, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Abbasids

[edit]

I was randomly reading, and found this: The Mongol Empire between Myth and Reality. In the article, al-Mustansir was killed in 1260, but according to the source I listed, it happened in October 1261. Furthermore, it seems that although al-Mustansir was the first Cairo Caliph, he was not the first to reach safety. al-Hakim came to Syria before al-Mustansir and Isa protected al-Hakim (note 1 in the source I listed).--Attar-Aram syria (talk) 08:43, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Attar-Aram syria: Interesting find. I wasn’t able to view the source much. Could you please incorporate this new info into the article? —Al Ameer (talk) 15:01, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
