Added to History of Churches
[edit]I added the history of Cypress Pond Missionary Baptist Church on April 4, 2023. My source was a personal interview with my mother who went to the church and took photos of the signage which documented the history and my grandparents interview of residents who knew my great, great-grandfather, Henry Black, who they say donated the land for the church. His name is on the signage.
Today, I logged in to see that my edits had been undone. I am very disappointed. I have restored the edits and I hope that no one will undo them again. I am also looking for a way to upload the images. Titilayoakua (talk) 04:15, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Titilayoakua Please review WP:Reliable sources. Personal interviews and family histories are not acceptable sources. —C.Fred (talk) 04:21, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
- I am uploading the images. I also see other listings of personal interviews as sources. Titilayoakua (talk) 04:32, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Titilayoakua Other stuff exists. Just because it's been done elsewhere doesn't mean it should be done. —C.Fred (talk) 12:45, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
- I agree. Just explaining why I used as a source. Titilayoakua (talk) 14:46, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
