Ireland Island, Bermuda → Ireland Island – Unnecessary disambiguation. – Rob984 (talk) 13:55, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 16:05, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose – longer form is more WP:CONCISE, instantly telling the reader where the island is located. RGloucester — ☎ 14:40, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose - useful for unwary readers. In ictu oculi (talk) 03:54, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose. While the ambiguity with the much more well-known island called simply "Ireland" is minimal, using the country name makes the ambiguity zero. There's no reason to increase confusion even by a trivial amount. 209.211.131.181 (talk) 07:10, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose per In ictu oculi. See here? We agreed!! Red Slash 05:37, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
- I notice we agree about 70% of the time. In any case, close this as WP:SNOW. In ictu oculi (talk) 05:39, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
- Comment – Your arguments could equally apply to "Ireland"–"Island of Ireland" (ie, Ireland redirecting to Island of Ireland, not vice versa). Genrally, a hat note is used to disambigate a term directed to its primary topic, not the title. That said, I'm not really oppsed to the current title, it's just unconventional (hence the technical request). Rob984 (talk) 15:05, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
