Iraqi Kurdistan presidential election, 2015 → Iraqi Kurdistan presidential election, 2013 – The elections will take place November 2013, please change title. http://www.iraqinews.com/baghdad-politics/krg-identifies-1-nov-date-for-provincial-elections/ Relisted. - Are you sure that isn't referring to the Iraqi Kurdistan legislative election, 2013? You're right according to this source from the same site, but it's dated April 18. This source already in the article says 2015, and it's dated June 30. --BDD (talk) 23:47, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
- Consider me a weak oppose until this concern is addressed. --BDD (talk) 16:52, 30 August 2013 (UTC)

Further news coverage
[edit]Someone made an edit to Iraqi Kurdistan (quickly reversed) that the president is now Yousuf Muhammad. Anybody have knowledge of how it's playing out? One story says that Barzani's term looked likely to be extended until the next (parliamentary?) election, another that he is pushing for a referendum.
Here are some news articles that I did find, in case they are useful in expanding this article.

Apologies that so many are from one publication; it's a shame that Western media aren't covering this.

The result of the move request was: not moved. Opposers make good points that have not been countered. Jenks24 (talk) 16:12, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
Next Iraqi Kurdistan presidential election → Iraqi Kurdistan presidential election, 2017 – Though postponed twice, there is a fixed date now and the overwhelming expectation that Barzani's presidential term won't be extended again, with the new PUK/Gorran alliance insisting on 2017 elections. -- PanchoS (talk) 10:57, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose: no date has been set, the electoral commission have merely said that they require at least 6 months before they could hold a presidential election. Given that this election has been planned and then cancelled before we are straying into WP:CRYSTALBALL territory: we should wait at least until a date has been set and even then we would need sources stating that the it was actually credible that the election might take place. Ebonelm (talk) 11:57, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- Weak oppose. I made these modifications since the two refs immediately to the left of the 2017 mention do not actually contain the year 2017. See also: Iraqi Kurdistan parliamentary election, 2017, created by PanchoS, which may have a similar issue. — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 15:33, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
