Sankey the composer: When you say he composed about 1200 songs, are you referring to the hymn collection "Sankey's Sacred Songs and Solos", which contains 1200 items? Less than 20% of these are Sankey's own. He was a collecter and arranger as well as a composer, so perhaps the wording should be changed (unless you have information that he did actually compose 1200)? United Methodism

Near the top of the page there is mention made as to Bro. Sankey's conversion in a revival meeting in King's Chapel United Methodist church.

- The United Methodist Church (as a denomination) did not exist however, until many denominational mergers and more than 100 years later.
