Does iodine react with celllose? I don't think so but am no longer 100% sure. ping 09:26, 3 December 2005 (UTC) doesn't glycogen provide a bluish color as well? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.107.112.133 (talk) 04:43, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
This article is a brief explanation of the iodine test. The article requires more of a practical approach as to how it happens (The colour changes) and as to how the concept is used in different experimental scales. The article also requires more images of the test.103.247.48.160 (talk) 11:19, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
Proposed merge with Starch indicator
[edit]These two articles describe the same test, albeit with reversed procedures. In any case, Wikipedia is not a how-to guide and any procedure section should not influence the decision. Tomásdearg92 (talk) 22:23, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- Agreed. I will try to do this in a few days if there are no more objections. Oldag07 (talk) 13:59, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- Ehh, I don't know enough about the subject to make an educated move. Oldag07 (talk) 02:00, 8 October 2016 (UTC)
- I'm going to start merging the article starch indicator into this article. This article is currently rated as "mid importance" (as opposed to "low" for starch indicator), and the title allows for a more general discussion. Tomásdearg92 (talk) 20:37, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
