[edit]I would not have thought that the area of the castle being used for a "party" is of much relevance? --jmb 00:27, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
- It is also not clear whether it refers to the castle or hotel as it was inserted when the page had the two confused. --jmb 10:13, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
The actual castle itself has never been used for a party. Not unless you count the number of underage drinkers hanging about the ruins with their bottles of buckfast. I believe that the article means that Inverlochy Castle Hotel (near Torlundy) was used for the graduation parties and not the actual ruins situated by the BA club near Lochy Bridge. - Perhaps it would be better then to either delete the sentence or make it clear in the article what it means. --jmb (talk) 20:38, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
I don't think its appropriate to discuss these two very different structures in one article. They are of different periods and in different locations, and it would seem that a reasonable article could be researched and written on each. Being bold, I have therefore split the page, and added a link to the new Inverlochy Castle Hotel at the top. I removed all reference to graduation parties, as this is just not encyclopedic material, wherever the party takes place. Regards, Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 11:31, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
- Best thing to do, originally the castle and hotel were mixed in one article which was written as if they were the same place. I moved the hotel part into a new section below but that was just a temporary measure. The whole graduation party story always did seem very dubious and of no real relevance. --jmb (talk) 17:15, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
It's perhaps not relevant, but "graduation parties" or, rather, last-day-of-school-piss-ups have traditionally been held at the ruins of old Inverlochy castle. They're obviously not organised by the school but the arrangement is winked at by both the school and the local police. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.147.107.202 (talk) 17:43, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
