Animated GIF
[edit]Is the animated gif really necessary? 193.217.172.114
- I think a still would work a lot better, considering the large animation size of the file and the fact that its use is nonstandard. — Scm83x talk 12:25, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
- I don't like it either. It adds nothing to the article except a long load time for 56k users. -- MisterHand 14:41, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
- Ok then, delete it. Just trying to help! :D Staxringold 14:57, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Article
[edit]The article needs less plot - and the plot needs to be made more coherent. Also it needs some details of the critical reaction. Did they like it ? -- Beardo (talk) 07:06, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Remake
[edit]This film is a remake of The Deep, right?
Dulciana (talk) 07:05, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
- Unofficially yes, as they have the same plot. "Rip-off" might be a more accurate term. 88.104.19.175 (talk) 11:37, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
Inspired by Subterfuge
[edit]This article claims that this movie may have been inspired by the direct to video film ‘Subterfuge.’ The citation is a podcast that seems to mistakenly believe that ‘Subterfuge’ was a wholly original idea. As pointed out in this Talk section, ‘Into the Blue’ is relatively similar to ‘The Deep.’ I am getting rid of the sentence that this may have been inspired by ‘Subterfuge.’ A lot of action movies have similarities and ‘Subterfuge’ is hardly an original work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.235.234.53 (talk) 21:45, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
