US 131 and Kalamazoo business loop

This is a featured article (FA). There is an expectation that we will strive to maintain the level of quality that has been set, particularly to follow the explicit criteria for FAs. One criterion relates to using high-quality reliable sources. While "reliable source" is a bit of a Wikipedia term of art as we use it, it does mean that we cannot use most self-published sources. I hold Chris Bessert in high esteem for the work he's done over the last quarter century on MichiganHighways.com, but that website is still self-published and does not currently merit an exception to our RS/SPS policy. That means we are not supposed to use the site on articles, and that prohibition goes double for FAs.

Beyond that, I found a bunch of errors in the edits. Some of the details being added were minor to the history of I-94 and didn't warrant inclusion. The reconstruction of ramps at an interchange is not something worth mentioning. We consider resurfacing to be regular maintenance and do not include it in the history of a highway. Even basic rebuilds are just general maintenance and should be omitted.

This brings up another point: the prose quality should be of a professional standard on FAs, and many additions failed to meet that standard. If that was the only issue, copy editing to polish the text would be appropriate, but since the additional content was either wrong, poorly sourced or unneeded, it's best to just remove it. Many, many man-hours have gone into getting this article properly researched and polished to the current state, and if someone doesn't strive to maintain the standards, that work will be for naught.

This was the second reversion of low-quality additions to the article. WP:BRD isn't a policy, but it is a best practice. Those two rounds of additions were Bold, but they have been Reverted, so it's time to Discuss if any need to be added.
