- It is reasonably well written.
- a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
- See below for the prose issues. I'm not quite sure the image is supposed to be left-aligned.
- I have not had grief for it in other articles, and it seems to balance out the infobox in my opinion. --AdmrBoltz 00:13, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
- See below for the prose issues. I'm not quite sure the image is supposed to be left-aligned.
- a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
- It is factually accurate and verifiable.
- a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
- I've got a couple issues with these, see below.
- a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
- It is broad in its coverage.
- a (major aspects): b (focused):
- The lead probably needs to be twice as long. Could you explain a little more about the construction in the history? It's only in one sentence. For example, what direction was it constructed in? Were there phases? Have there been any improvements? Were there any former routes on this alignment? If there is no answer for any of these and there are no references listing explanations, then what is in the article is fine.
- History tweaked. Lead expanded some, but remember its a summary, not a full on repeat of info from the article. --AdmrBoltz 00:13, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

- Overall:
- Pass/Fail:
- I am placing this article on hold to allow for fixes.
- Pass/Fail:
Some issues:
General:
Arden, West Virginia and Hainesville, West Virginia need to be disambiguated.Never mind.
Lead:
- The lead needs to be about twice as long.
- Lead expanded some, but remember its a summary, not a full on repeat of info from the article. --AdmrBoltz 00:13, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
- "On average between 45,000 and 62,000 vehicles use the freeway per day." Maybe a comma somewhere? It sounds stringy.
- Tweaked. --AdmrBoltz 00:13, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Route description:
- "The highway approaches Inwood and a diamond interchange with West Virginia Route 51 (WV 51) provides access to the community..." A little rambling.
- "A small business park is passed..." The passive voice sounds weird.
- "Northerly" is an awkward word. Keep it if you will, but it sounds weird.
- "Just northeast of Martinsburg the freeway passes over a CSX Transportation rail line and a cloverleaf interchange with WV 9 provides access back to Martinsburg and to Hedgesville." Again, a little rambling. Plus, it sounds like I-81 goes over the interchange.
- "As the freeway curves back east it intersects WV 901 between Hainesville and Falling Waters." Comma needed.
History:
- What series of roads?
- They are unmarked lines on the map. I do not know. --AdmrBoltz 00:13, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
- "Six miles (9.7 km) of the highway through West Virginia was completed by 1963..." should read "Six miles (9.7 km) of the highway through West Virginia were completed..."
- No major realignments? What about minor ones?
- None that I have found. --AdmrBoltz 00:13, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
- Perhaps a ref to a current map for the last sentence.
Exit list:
- I don't think "cloverleaf interchange" should be included in the notes. It is a freeway, as we all know.
- Yes, but typically when you do not have a normal diamond interchange, they are noted. This is also the only non-diamond interchange on the highway.
References:
- Two periods exist in "McCclain Print Co.. p. 355...." Is this intended?
- The publisher was listed as McClain Print. Co. and the cite template adds another period after the publisher. So, yes. --AdmrBoltz 00:13, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
- Does it matter how many periods are after "a Matter of Fact...."?
- "pp. 11-8"? What does that mean? --PCB 23:38, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
- Thats the page number listed on the document. --AdmrBoltz 00:13, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
I believe the article is ready to pass. Congratulations. --PCB 00:53, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
