Regimes / Organizations

[edit]

I get the impression that the article mix up International Regimes and International Organizations. Does anyone have more knowledge how to separate them properly. I would guess that regimes don't have a permanent organization structure.

If all the organizations (like the IMF) are removed there a not much examples left. I would guess that the Non Proliferation Treaty is a regime (but not the IAEA). The Landmine Convention etc. Maybe someone has more examples to propose.

I think it does not adequately distinguish between treaty regimes and regimes formed around international organizations. There is also the topic of "treaty regimes", which are missing in wikipedia. My sense is that there is improvement that can be made around this entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thomasmcinerney (talkcontribs) 10:38, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Procedures missing?

[edit]

Additionally I would think that International Regimes do have as well some procedure (as example verification procedures).
