Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... (your reason here) --ISHMSec (talk) 19:12, 4 September 2011 (UTC) because the data was taken for public domain, from the links i mentioned. what is exactly what is claimed to be dealing with copyright?

Expanding
[edit]Hi. I think we need to expand this article. Some ideas. We can move the lists of presidents and congresses to a dif article. LIke with many of the works sections of many historical figures. We can create a list of relevant people, I wfound 10 relevant members in teh english wikiepdia, and 9 in other wikis ( french and German). Third, to talk a litle on the founders, Tricot and Lavastine. They seem specially important. Four talk on the Vesalius Journal. I will add a map on the Presence of the ISHM in the world, and another archive of the cover of the Vesalius Journal. I am open to any suggestion concerning the ideas i listed, or some others. I wanna share this link [1] on the ishm, with very important information, but it is hard to expand information on the ishm if it is not ina list like structure, cause the history of the ISHM are the congresses themselves. So even adding information on the topics of each one or the relevant people who made them, will happen to turn into a list. ( for example 2nd congress : ancient medicine, Byzantine medicine, the identification of great epidemics in history and the role of pharmacists in the development of biology.) Most information is on the congreses and its organizers, etc. Some ideas on how we can expand this? it does not look easy for me at all. Some advices?thanks.--DeraDerron (talk) 19:21, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
- I think we should just delete the list of congresses, as it is just copied from here. No need to repeat all that (boring) stuff, which we can easily link to. If Tricot and Lavastine ar interesting, then it might be worthwhile to create a biography of them, but that would not fit into this article. A list of members really is not appropriate, unless there are sources that not only confirm that a person was a member, but also that this had any relevance at all to the society. Just listing notable people because they happened to be members is not encyclopedic. Expanding the list of congresses with the topics they covered as proposed above just increases the similarity with the page I linked to. A short description of the history of the society, if it can be sourced, should do the job. --Guillaume2303 (talk) 22:33, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I removed the congresses list ( and I have to accept it was very boring) and added your link. I uploaded the worldmap and created the Vesalius section, it has few information but my intention is to try to talk a litle bit more of the ISHM history and just a couple more sentences on Vesalius journal. I moved the list of presidents to teh end, beacuse ( according to me) the pictures feet better lke this, if it was the first one, there were big black spots. Anyway it would also be good to make the presidents list in 2 columns ( but I dunno how to do it). So as you said, I will look for sources for completing some more information on the history of ISHM ( and I will read the file I posted here some days ago , the pdf, I think I can get a few general information on the ISHM from it too), and on the Journal Vesalius, it could take me more than a week, so plz, pacience. Opinions?Thank--DeraDerron (talk) 21:01, 11 March 2012 (UTC) you.
